Pastor Ken came to Shiloh in July of 2016. He received a call to ministry while a freshman in high school in Oklahoma. After receiving a BA in History at Oklahoma Baptist University, Ken earned a Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Old Testament at Emory University in Atlanta. He has served churches in Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, and Illinois. Ken's ministry gifts include teaching, preaching, and vision. He is passionate about caring ministries (divorce and grief recovery), training Christian leaders, and mission work in Eastern Europe. Ken has a grown daughter and son. He enjoys ballroom dancing, history, Rotary, and travel.
Dave began his ministry at Shiloh on March 2, 2020. Dave was called to the music ministry in 2008 at an O’Fallon area church where he served bi-vocationally for 11 ½ years as the praise band director. After retiring as a M/Sgt from the Illinois State Police, Dave decided to devote more of his time in the ministry. Dave has more than 20 years experience in contemporary worship, playing the guitars, bass, drums, low brass, and sings lead and background vocals. Dave also has experience in installing and operating sound, lighting and projection systems. Dave attended Southwest Illinois College where he studied public safety, computer science, and played in the jazz band. In his free time, Dave enjoys his time with his family. Dave also enjoys playing in a secular band with his wife Becky. Dave and Becky reside in Mascoutah with their daughters Ellen (20) and Emily (17).
Mitchell grew up in Memphis, TN, and moved to the Shiloh area at the beginning of June. He began working with us at Shiloh Church in November of 2020. Most of Mitchell's background and passion centers on non-profit and ministry. Mitchell has been a part of multiple Children's and Youth ministries during his journey with Christ and is coming into this position ready to serve. His goal here is to encourage a fun community and love in all areas he can reach. Mitchell is married to his lovely wife Jessica and they both enjoy worship, travel, and family.
Kathy and her family moved to the area in December 2002 and in began attending Shiloh in 2003. Before joining the staff in 2006, Kathy worked in fundraising and administration for several non-profit organizations. Kathy earned her degree in Social Work where she had a special interest in macro-practice and building communities. Kathy also took courses through a Certificate of Non-Profit Leadership program and was credentialed as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Kathy and her husband Walter have two children, Ally and Jenna. The Denton family enjoys finding ways to give back to others and has a passion for raising money for cancer research. Kathy is also the event director for Swim Across America.
Marie grew up in the south, attended college in Texas and moved to
Belleville, IL in 1997. She has been attending Shiloh UMC since 2002.
A special education teacher for over 25 years, she has a love of
children and a passion to see them grow in relationships with Jesus.
Marie has 2 sons and 4 grandsons and enjoys spending time with family,
especially outdoors biking, boating, camping and hiking. She considers
Shiloh UMC her larger family and is thankful for the love and support
over life's journey.
Rachel grew up in St. Louis, MO and joined the Shiloh UMC staff in April 2012 as Communications Coordinator. Prior to Shiloh UMC, she worked for a non-profit organization as a Program Manager and Executive Assistant, utilizing facilitation, administrative, and marketing skills. As Communications Coordinator, Rachel works to connect and employ communications practices and tools to share the story of Shiloh UMC's ministries, programs, opportunities, people, and faith. Along with her duties in communications, she volunteers with other ministries. She now lives in Belleville.
Nurturing children has been Jen’s life’s calling. Jen has a lot of history with Three Springs Preschool. She started as an assistant teacher in 2010 and worked for two years then became a lead teacher and spent the next several years teaching 2 and 3 year-old children. Jen became a volunteer for children’s ministry in 2011 when she was baptized and became a member at Shiloh UMC. Jen has been married since 1995 and has three children.
Kelly lives in Belleville with her husband, two young daughters, a son, and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Bear. She has attended Shiloh UMC since 2001 and joined the staff as Nursery Coordinator in February of 2015. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from McKendree University in 2008 and has worked in education and childcare ever since. Kelly enjoys building relationships with the young children in the nursery and fostering their early developmental skills and love for Jesus through nurturing care and play. Kelly loves eating chocolate, decorating and crafting, and playing with her girls!

PART-TIME NURSERY WORKER
The purpose of Shiloh United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who commit to follow Him, seek to grow in their spiritual lives, and to use their spiritual gifts to impact the world for Jesus, fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The Nursery Worker assists the Nursery Coordinator to fulfill this purpose with our infants and small children up to age two.
· Assists parents with check-in/out process.
· Feed children as needed (bottle, baby food, snack).
· Diaper young children and assist with potty training toddlers.
· Clean toys, equipment and nursery space.
· Work well with other workers and volunteers.
· Engage in play with infants and toddlers
· Maintain an attitude that is consistent and supportive of the purpose and mission of SUMC.
· Ability to deal with all people in a caring, courteous and professional manner.
· Have excellent ability to communicate with young children and adults.
· Be a high school graduate and at least 18 years old.
· Ability to sit on ground and get up from floor.
· Agree to carry out the following: Staff Covenant, Anti-Triangulation Policy, Sexual Harassment Policy and Safe Sanctuary Policy.
· CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
· Available on most Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
Employment Status: Hourly/As required (flexible)
Compensation: Hourly wage established annually by the Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee
FLSA: Non-Exempt
The Nursery Worker works under the direct supervision of the Nursery Coordinator. The Nursery Coordinator will assign work in keeping with the overall goals of SUMC ministries. The Nursery Worker will seek to accomplish the work in a responsible and independent manner. The Nursery Worker will keep the Nursery Coordinator informed of sensitive issues and the status of programs and staff. The Nursery Coordinator will review the work of the Nursery Worker as it affects the overall quality of program accomplishment and will provide constructive guidance as needed.
The SUMC Staff Parish Relations Committee will serve as the personnel agency and will assist in work evaluation, recommend appropriate compensation and hear grievances.
The Nursery Worker will be expected to be familiar with and to follow the requirements of the "Shiloh United Methodist Church Employee Handbook".
