We are looking for a few volunteers to help make sacked lunches and deliver them to the Shiloh community. The lunches are made and delivered to the children in our community that are on the free and reduced lunch program at the local schools. Through August 14, we will deliver sack lunches starting at 11:00 am. If you are interested or have more questions, please email Jen Mason at Jen@shiloh-umc.org.
JULY 18: COFFEE AND CONTROVERSY
Few things are more relaxing than a cup of coffee, and few things are more disturbing than the latest controversy in our society. Let's come together to enjoy a great beverage while we examine the controversies through the lens of God's word, reason, experience and Christian tradition. The class will be an opportunity to explore timely issues in a safe way as we model how Christians understand, share and live the truth of the Gospel. We will Sundays at the Shiloh Cafe 15 minutes after worship or about 10:20am. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be provided.
The first week of each month, we’re going to collect food for the Weekend Wildcats, a program for students in the Shiloh Village School District. Drop off days will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am-1pm. We will place containers outside of the church for collection.
Items needed are: Canned Fruit, vegetables, tuna, soup, canned pasta, peanut butter, jelly, boxed cereal and saltine crackers. Snacks: granola bars, pretzels, goldfish, animal crackers, fruit snacks etc. Snack items should be individual packs. Monetary donations for Weekend Wildcats can also be made to Shiloh UMC with Weekend Wildcats in the memo.
